What's Up Weber!
Starbucks isn't the only one adding a little (pumpkin) spice to the Fall season. Next week at Weber is filled with exciting events and happenings that we know you will love (a latte)!
Under the leadership of Weber teachers Laura Bowers, Olivia Rocamora, and Mitch White, sixteen Weber students across grades and Spanish levels, are participating in Weber's third Spanish immersion program. Preparing for a trip to Northern Spain in January 2018, students are attending three intensive Sunday courses in teachers' homes during the first semester to explore Spanish language, authentic culture, Jewish roots/Sephardic traditions, and past and current political challenges in Spain.
The American Humanities Experience (AHE) -- an interdisciplinary approach to the study of American history, English literature, and Modern Jewish History -- gives students the opportunity to think beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries and paradigms while exploring content and ideas at a sophisticated, multi-perspective level.
