About Us
The
Doris and Alex Weber Jewish Community High School challenges students to achieve
their personal best, to develop their innate talents, and to pursue them with
heart. Our rigorous academic program prepares students to succeed in the
classroom and beyond, while our guiding Jewish values of community and Tikkun Olam - to repair the world,
require students to be knowledgeable about, involved in, and responsible for,
our community and the world.
Our
curriculum is designed to develop students' abilities to think, feel and do. Through social action projects,
experiential education, athletics, and an integrated arts curriculum, The Weber
School engages your child's head,
heart and hand, encouraging thoughtful discourse,
self-advocacy, and social responsibility.
We
value each student, offering various placement levels, including advanced
placement and honors, and providing opportunities for individual expression through
academics, athletics, art, culture, Judaics and Tikkun Olam activities. Our
teachers engage students in their subjects, collaborate across disciplines, and
serve as role models - guiding our teens to develop healthy attitudes,
self-confidence, leadership skills and
responsibility.
Students experience numerous dimensions of
Israeli society and explore the many facets of Jewish statehood. They become
familiar with a variety of social environments, engage in a unique style of experiential learning, and are
stimulated in their own personal growth and development. It is an extraordinary
culmination to our students’ Jewish day school and general high school
careers.
Our
spacious campus includes 22 classrooms, five state-of-the-art science labs, art
studios, technology and media centers, athletic fields, a gym with weight room
and more. Unique in our educational philosophy and
respectful of the diverse beliefs represented by our students, The Weber School
is truly a community.
The Weber School is proud to be a beneficiary of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
