Weber's new Robotics team is part of the Georgia chapter of FIRST Robotics, competing in the Marist Blue League. As part of this league, our students will build robots and compete in various matches throughout the school year. Teams are given information about the upcoming challenges in advance of the events so they can construct their robots with specific functionality in mind. Teams are given information about the upcoming challenges in advance of the events so they can construct their robots with specific functionality in mind. Last week Weber competed in their first league meet along with a number of other rookie teams in the area.

At the outset of the competition, Weber's robot had limited functionality and could only perform basic moves. The team used the trials and tribulations from each match to make iterations in real time that improved the robot's performance and increased their competitive edge.

At the end of the day, Weber won three out of the four matches in which they competed. A huge success for a new team of novice competitors including Micah Reich, Caleb Heller, and Ben Ragals and their faculty adviser, Mr. Chapman!
