Performing Arts New Visiting Artists Series
Weber's Performing Arts Department is excited to launch its VISITING ARTIST SERIES, bringing local and national artists to the Weber community for events and performances throughout the year. Please join us as we welcome Charlie Kramer and Shoshana Gugenheim Kedem for music and discussion.
ARTIST BIOS
Charlie Kramer
Charlie travels the country to share his story about living and thriving with his disability. Through speaking, teaching, and sharing his music, Charlie helps his audiences "unlearn" what they think they know about people with disabilities and reject the stigmas commonly associated with people who have disabilities. Charlie teaches that a disability can not define you and that with understanding and acceptance, we can all live healthy, exciting, and ambitious lives filled with passion and success.
Shoshana Gugenheim Kedem
Shoshana is an American / Israeli interdisciplinary artist, Torah scribe, curator, and chutzpanit. She reimagines rituals and sacred objects and reinserts them with new forms into familiar contexts. Shoshana was one of the first women in modern times to train and practice as a Torah scribe. Today her work as a scribe manifests through Or Hadash | עור חדש , an art in(ter)vention into the contemporary parchment-making industry, offering an alternative to the current reliance on industrial agriculture and returning it to the land, the people, and the animals they tend. -
Curriculum Night
Hosted by the Weber faculty, Curriculum Night offers parents a taste of their student’s daily classroom experience. In each class presentation, you will meet your student's teacher, learn about their educational approach, and discuss the academic goals for the year. You will also learn about Weber's co-curricular and enrichment programs including Student Enrichment and Support, College Advising, Athletics, Student Programming and Leadership, and Performing Arts.Parents are welcome to arrive as early as 6:00 PM for Curriculum Night with the first class session beginning promptly at 6:30 PM. Upon arrival, parents should pick up copies of their student’s schedule in the dining hall.To RSVP for Curriculum Night, please click here.Curriculum Night is one of the most important and informational events of the school year. The Weber faculty is excited to share with you the academic experience and culture that is found “only at Weber.” -
9th Grade Trip
We are excited to travel to Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega, GA, where our students will connect with classmates, gain insight about themselves, and learn more about the natural world around them. Students will participate in team-building activities, geocaching, and other types of recreation.
On Sunday, September 18, students must be at Weber by 9:00 AM. On Monday, September 19, pick-up time will be at Weber between 3:00 - 3:30 PM. -
