"Back to Weber" in our New Performing Arts Center!
Last Friday marked a monumental beginning to the school year with the inaugural "Back To Weber" Kehillah held in the school's brand-new, state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center. After a captivating musical performance by Stella Galanti and Daniella Zalik, accompanied by Music Program Director Drew Cohen, Student Council President Rany Granath took to the stage with an inspiring charge to the school that spoke to every grade level. The excitement of the gathering was heightened as the Head of School, Rabbi Ed Harwitz, and Principal, Shlaina Van Dyke, welcomed this year's record-setting student enrollment, including a ground-breaking 81 incoming freshmen!
Beyond the immediate celebration, Weber's new Performing Arts Center underscores our commitment to fostering an unparalleled educational culture that thrives on creativity — truly an #onlyatweber experience. Both students and faculty were visibly impressed by the PAC's expansive offerings, from its fully-equipped theater and rehearsal spaces to its specialized provisions for theatricals, musicals, dramas, instrumental and choral music, and even music recording. The dance studio and dedicated resources for technical design and production further elevate its potential.
Plans are already in motion to harness this state-of-the-art space, with four performances scheduled this year. Among these is a one-act play, gearing up to represent Weber in the GHSA one-act competition later this year. Through such endeavors, Weber continues to embrace opportunities for broader engagement while serving as a communal resource for the Atlanta Jewish community's artistic and educational pursuits.
The Weber School, a Jewish Community high school serving students from all Jewish backgrounds, prepares students for success in college and in life with comprehensive academic and co-curricular programs that inspire student exploration, leadership, and Jewish social consciousness.
