Congratulations to Junior Reese Oberkfell, whose writing and photography work was honored in the 2023 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards regional competition! Reese's Flash Fiction piece Where the Grass is Greenerinspired by his trip with Weber to Spain last yearearned him a coveted silver award. His beautifully crafted poem "Rainbow" received an honorable mention, and his thought-provoking photograph "I heard curiosity killed a cat" (pictured above) clinched another silver award. Thank you to Weber Spanish and English teacher Olivia Rocamora and Visual Arts instructor Amber Singleton, who helped Reese prepare his entries for the competition.
