The Weber School provides a variety of school initiatives and opportunities that promote student leadership and involvement, including Student Council, National Honor Society, Student Ambassador Program, Peer Leadership, Rams for Israel, and Mock Trial.

  • Rams for Israel

    Rams For Israel is focused on Israel advocacy and education. Students meet during lunchtime and after school to socialize and learn about Israeli culture, current events, history, and more. Students who choose to take an active part on the board are given many opportunities to strengthen their connection with Israelis through various programs and leadership opportunities.

    Rams For Israel hosts guest speakers throughout the school year and partners with local and national agencies including the Atlanta Israel Coalition and AIPAC.

     “After middle school, joining Rams for Israel gave me the opportunity to learn about Israel from cultural and historical perspectives. Attending AIPAC’s Policy Conference and the Teen Summit with my Rams for Israel and Weber delegation makes me a stronger leader.” Amit Rau, RFI Co-President.

  • Student Council

    Weber's Student Council is a group of students elected by their peers who work on behalf of the entire student body. Student Council members initiate and implement projects and activities to encourage student scholarship, promote school pride and values, and work with the school to seek collaborative solutions to challenges that may arise for students throughout the year. Weber's Student Council has been twice recognized as a National Gold Council of Excellence by the National Student Council for its exemplary record of leadership, service, and activities that serve to improve the school and community.

  • Peer Leadership

    The Peer Leadership program at The Weber School is an orientation and transition program that welcomes new students and makes them feel comfortable throughout their first year at Weber.

    Our Peer Leaders are upper-classmen that exemplify leadership on and off-campus, and serve as mentors to freshmen and transfer students. Peer Leaders guide new students through their first year of school as they acclimate to Weber.

  • National Honor Society

    The National Honor Society (NHS) promotes the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921. National Honor Society membership is invitation-only with invitations sent to students in their junior and senior year.

  • Spanish National Honor Society

    The Spanish National Honor Society is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish and/or Portuguese, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP). The SHH was formally organized as the Spanish National Honor Society in 1953. Its mission is to recognize high school achievement in Spanish and Portuguese and to promote interest in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian studies.

  • Student Ambassador

    Ambassadors serve as role models both inside and outside of The Weber School, lead tours for prospective students and parents, assist with visit days, serve on panels at admissions events, and participate in admissions programs and activities.

  • Clubs

    Weber clubs are student-led with teachers serving as mentors. Involvement in these clubs help students develop and enrich their personal growth outside of the classroom. The types of clubs offered at Weber vary from year to year, based on student interest.

  • Moot Beit Din

    Moot Beit Din provides Weber students with a firsthand look at the inner workings of the Jewish legal system and helps them hone their critical thinking skills by applying the ancient wisdom of halakhah (Jewish law) to some of the most significant ethical issues of our time. Student teams are assigned a topic and collaborate to craft a written decision and oral argument based on rabbinic sources. They then present their ruling to a panel of judges.

  • Mock Trial

    Coached by volunteer attorneys and teachers, teams work together to prepare trial presentations from case materials provided by the High School Mock Trial Committee. In the competition, students play the roles of attorneys and witnesses in a court case. Professional attorneys and judges serve as the presiding judges and juror/evaluators in competition rounds. Teams are evaluated on their ability to make a logical, cohesive and persuasive presentation, rather than on the legal merits of the case.

  • Weber Vols

    Weber's student-run service organization is focused on providing students with meaningful volunteer opportunities with a variety of local and international organizations. This program partners closely with other organizations in the Atlanta area and urges the entire family to get involved.

  • UNICEF

    The UNICEF High School Club program is a youth-led initiative that partners with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to educate, advocate, and fundraise to support UNICEF’s lifesaving work. It is a growing movement rooted in a belief that students have a vital role to play in helping the world’s children survive. UNICEF students promote children’s issues and fundraise, write letters to elected officials, and more.

  • Literary Magazine

    Ramblings, Weber’s trilingual literary and visual arts magazine, is our contribution to the important arts and cultural tradition of independent literary magazines -- a tradition dating back over 100 years. The magazine is entirely student-produced and peer-reviewed. It publishes contributions in English, Spanish, Hebrew, and visual arts. The creative writing our students produce in Hebrew and Spanish shows the progression of our students as they move beyond rote language foundations and engage in big ideas about identity, culture, and society.

  • Rambots

    The Weber Daniel Zalik Academy-Rambots build and compete in the GA FIRST Tech Challenge competition. FIRST Tech Challenge teams are challenged to design, build, program, and operate industrial-size robots to compete in head-to-head challenges in alliance with other teams. Teams must also fundraise, design, and market their team brand, and advance respect and appreciation for STEM within the community. The award-winning DZA Rambots compete at regional, state, and world championship levels.

The Weber School, a Jewish Community high school serving students from all Jewish backgrounds, prepares students for success in college and in life with comprehensive academic and co-curricular programs that inspire student exploration, leadership, and Jewish social consciousness. Many of our programs and academies are unique to Weber and can't be found at any other Atlanta-area high schools.
