Master Teacher

The Weber School is thrilled to share that Herschel Revzin, Dean of Mathematics, has been named a 2025 GISA Master Teacher! This prestigious recognition is awarded to educators who demonstrate exceptional teaching, innovation in the classroom, and a deep commitment to collaboration and professional growth. Candidates undergo a rigorous application process that includes submitting examples of outstanding classroom work, a video of their teaching, and letters of recommendation from colleagues, administrators, parents, and students.

Now in his 12th year at Weber, in addition to his work as the school’s Content Dean for Mathematics, Mr. Revzin advises Mu Alpha Theta (the National High School Mathematics Honor Society) and is in his third year as a flag football faculty coach. Reflecting on the Master Teacher recognition, he shared, “This reminded me how important collaboration really is. None of us does this work alone, and I’m grateful to be part of a community where we keep learning from each other.”

Principal Shlaina Van Dyke praised Herschel’s impact, saying, “Herschel has an extraordinary gift for making complex concepts accessible and engaging. His classroom is a place where rigor and curiosity meet, and his leadership has strengthened both his students and his colleagues.”
