What is an Honors Diploma Distinction?

The Weber School offers students the opportunity to earn Honors Diploma Distinctions through a variety of academic pathways centered in Weber’s academies and leadership programs.

Students may formally commit to pursue one or more Honors Distinction programs over a three-year period starting in 10th grade.

Requirements

Honors Distinction Diploma programs center around the following components:
  • Completing a course of study through academic courses, electives, and advanced seminars
  • Engaging in experiences beyond the classroom, including internships, Israel and global education, and service options
  • Completing a capstone project and building a portfolio

Pathways

Currently, students may pursue Honors Distinction Diplomas through the following pathways:
  • The Daniel Zalik Academy for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Design
  • The Sports Science and Management Academy
  • The Michael Kay Israel Leadership Fellows
  • Hebrew and Spanish: Cultural Exploration through Language and Travel
  • Writing for Publication: Writing in the Classroom - Writing in the World
  • Sports Science and Management Academy

The Weber School, a Jewish Community high school serving students from all Jewish backgrounds, prepares students for success in college and in life with comprehensive academic and co-curricular programs that inspire student exploration, leadership, and Jewish social consciousness. Many of our programs and academies are unique to Weber and can't be found at any other Atlanta-area high schools.
