MLK Day of Service at Weber

Over Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend, The Weber School was proud to host a family-friendly MLK Day of Service in partnership with Jewish Family & Career Services (JF&CS). Families with elementary and middle-school-aged children gathered on campus for an afternoon of hands-on volunteering, connection, and learning about the importance of giving back.

The event was supported by The Michael and Andrea Leven Office of Student Service and Philanthropy, a student-governed board at Weber that helps students identify meaningful, high-impact community service opportunities through a philanthropic lens. Leven Office students helped publicize the event to the Weber community, and over 30 Weber students volunteered alongside participating families throughout the afternoon.

This partnership reflects the Leven Office’s ongoing focus on building strong relationships with organizations serving communal needs and expanding the range of meaningful ways Weber students can engage. The Leven Office is also affiliated with Jewish Youth Promise, a global initiative that asks Jewish teens and young adults to commit to being active, contributing members of the Jewish community.
