Concert for the Kibbutzim
Presented by the Weber Music Program and the Michael and Andrea Leven Office of Student Support and Philanthropy, The Concert for the Kibbutzim, held on March 16, 2025, began as a one-night, student-led benefit concert and has since evolved into a school-wide campaign of solidarity and support.
Held in The Tzadik Performing Arts Center, the concert brought together a sold-out, capacity crowd for an evening of music and community. Thanks to the generosity of our community and a 1:1 matching grant from The Marcus Foundation, Weber students raised over $100,000 through the event and the subsequent campaign. All funds will benefit Kibbutz Nir Oz and Kibbutz Nachal Oz, two communities devastated by the attacks by Hamas on October 7.
The program featured live music from Weber’s house band, Broken Glass, joined by guest student musicians, along with a silent auction, concessions, t-shirt sales, and a special menu of mocktails. The setlist, with its classic rock hits like “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “More Than a Feeling,” and the ever-popular “Free Bird,” kept the audience clapping and singing throughout the night.
As the concert occurred just days before Passover, when the youngest among children ask, “Why is this night different from all other nights?” - the answer, at least for Weber, can partly be found in The Concert for the Kibbutzim, where student leadership, vision, and commitment made it a night like none other.
The Weber School
The Weber School, a Jewish Community high school serving students from all Jewish backgrounds, prepares students for success in college and in life with comprehensive academic and co-curricular programs that inspire student exploration, leadership, and Jewish social consciousness. Many of our programs and academies are unique to Weber and can't be found at any other Atlanta-area high schools.
