Fine and Performing Arts
Weber offers multiple courses in the visual arts, ceramics, dance, music, and theater with two musical productions each year. Our comprehensive music education program features performance and general music courses, choral and instrumental performance ensembles, and Artists-in-Residence.
Athletics
The Weber School sponsors 14 varsity and 6 junior varsity teams and is a member of the Georgia High School Association. More than 65 percent of the student body participates in athletics.
Since its beginning 25 years ago, The Weber School has welcomed Jewish high school students from all over Atlanta. As a Jewish community high school with an exceptional college preparatory program, we attract and enroll students with a wide range of observance levels and Jewish education.

Weber principal Shlaina Van Dyke is pleased to announce that Rachel Denneen, Ethan Goodhart, Reese Oberkfell, and Sydney Parker have been named Commended Students in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Max Shafron graduated from Weber in 2011 and is now the Country Director for Brazil and Paraguay in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the U.S. Department of Defense, where he acts as the Secretary’s advisor on all aspects of bilateral military cooperation between the United States, Brazil, and Paraguay. Max joined the Department of Defense as a John McCain Strategic Defense Fellow, serving in two rotational assignments before securing a position in the Space and Missile Defense Policy office in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Prior to the Department of Defense, Max worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and received a Master's Degree in International Security from The George Washington University. Reflecting on his journey, Max shares, "At an early stage, Weber gave me the opportunity to explore my fascination with history, international relations, and American government – and tie that to my interest in public service and Tikkun Olam. I'm thankful to now be able to do that every day in our nation's capital!" Weber is proud to have been part of your journey, Max!
This month, Weber’s Office of Student Support and Wellness launched several programs for parents and students focused on providing educational resources and support for navigating health, academic, and emotional challenges.
To commemorate 9/11, Weber’s Student Council led a poignant program that used our liturgy to offer the school community the language with which to express our collective memory and mourning.

Kol Hakavod to Leah May Kogon and Romy Ress, who participated in the 2022-2023 Student Visionaries of the Year, benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. During their seven-week campaign, they learned leadership development skills, project management, how to effectively lead a team, and how to lead successful corporate sponsorship meetings. One of their largest fundraising opportunities, volunteering at the annual Dr. Scofflaws F*** Cancer event, saw Leah May and Romy raise $15,000! By the end of the seven-week campaign, they, with the help of their Weber teammates, raised a total of $87,000, which resulted in placing 5th out of 32 teams around Atlanta. They would like to thank their Weber teammates and their advisor Britton Ryan without whom they could not have accomplished what they did.

Get ready to be inspired at The Weber School's 3rd Annual Karlin Design Expo on May 15th! This remarkable event showcases an array of student-led projects in science, technology, and design; all developed in collaboration with The Daniel Zalik Academy (DZA). The expo offers an interactive and immersive experience, welcoming parents, students, and community members to explore and engage with our students’ innovative creations.
We celebrated our seniors and their hard work this week with a special Senior Spirit Week, including the annual Senior Siyum. Thank you to The Weber Parents Group for hosting a week of senior celebratory activities for the Class of 2023, including a coffee and hot chocolate bar, ice cream truck, annual Trivia Bowl, and Senior Brunch. The Senior Siyum recognized the achievements of the Class of 2023's Valedictorian Amelia Heller, Salutatorian and Presidential Scholar Nominee Dov Karlin, his selection for Influential Teacher Award, Linda Parmet, Star Student Barri Seitz, and Star Teacher Holly Chesser.
