Sports Science and Management Academy

Weber’s Sports Science and Management Academy (SSMA) offers hands-on learning in various career fields related to health and wellness, sports medicine, sport nutrition, physical training and fitness, sport management, and sport policy and law. More than class lectures and typical homework assignments, Weber's SSMA program offers exclusive opportunities for Weber students to gain practical, first-hand knowledge with internships under experienced, professional mentors. Students earn honors distinction from the SSMA by producing a personal portfolio demonstrating mastery of program outcomes.

    The Sports Science Academy is the academic component of the Weber Athletics program. Weber Athletics offers 16 Varsity and 5 Junior Varsity teams and is a member of the Georgia High School Association. More than 70% of the student body participates in athletics.

    Weber Athletics offers a year-round strength and conditioning program -- available to all students -- that utilizes a traditional weight room in our state-of-the-art Eitan Force Athletic Complex. The EFAC offers an indoor training facility equipped with free weights, cardiovascular equipment, suspension training, an indoor batting cage, an indoor golf training area, and other tools to help increase strength, speed, agility, flexibility, and overall fitness. We also have a full-time Athletic Trainer to meet the sports medicine needs of our athletes.

Eitan Force Athletic Complex

  • Eitan Force Athletic Complex

    Our new Eitan Force Athletic Complex features a competition gymnasium with a full-size basketball and volleyball court with seating for up to 600 spectators, two full-size practice gym spaces, three locker rooms, classrooms, faculty offices, and enhanced “wellness center” to include fitness, conditioning, and weightlifting areas. When used for larger, community events, the gymnasium seats up to 1,100 visitors. The layout of this complex enables Weber to host larger-scale regional competitions, large school events, graduation ceremonies, and programs in collaboration with organizational partners throughout the Atlanta Jewish community.

    The Sports Science and Management Academy features an Honors Diploma program with customizable academic tracks as students work with SSMA teachers to develop advanced knowledge and skills in their discipline of interest. This approach to academic learning and access to professional experiences is typically only available at the college level and is unmatched at other Atlanta area high schools.
The Weber School, a Jewish Community high school serving students from all Jewish backgrounds, prepares students for success in college and in life with comprehensive academic and co-curricular programs that inspire student exploration, leadership, and Jewish social consciousness. Many of our programs and academies are unique to Weber and can't be found at any other Atlanta-area high schools.
