This four-day excursion for the Class of 2022, begins with a “L’hitraot B’Lake Lanier” trip to be held Monday, May 16 - Wednesday, May 18, 2022. The program continues on Thursday, May 19, 2022, where students will spend the day in Athens, GA meeting with professional and student leadership of Hillel and other Jewish organizations at the University of Georgia in Athens.
This trip coincides with the interim week between the time when the Senior class completes their academic responsibilities and begins to prepare for graduation, with two primary programming goals:
To provide the Class of 2022 with a final opportunity to socialize, bond, and reminisce;
To learn and think together regarding ways that they may prepare to build Jewish life and the Jewish community at college, with an emphasis on the opportunities and challenges facing Jewish students on college campuses.
As the events of the past two years have prevented us from organizing grade level outings and gatherings, we look forward to the chance for students and teachers to spend meaningful and enjoyable time together through recreational programming, shared meals, reflection, and free time.
