New Student Orientation

Under the guidance of Rosie Grinzaid, Weber’s Associate Director of Student Social and Emotional Support, and with the mentorship of our dedicated Peer Leaders, this year’s New Student Orientation was an immersive experience designed to foster connection, community, and a sense of belonging from the very beginning.

The program began with Peer Leaders Daryn Mand, Jagger Kaye, and Jackson Powers warmly welcoming students and sharing their most helpful and heartfelt “Weber Wisdom”. Students then participated in hands-on activities that were designed to strengthen friendships and a sense of belonging. The goal of Orientation is to ensure students start the school year feeling more independent, confident, and connected to both their peers and faculty. Day 2 of orientation focused on exploring the building, adapting to Weber’s digital tools, and engaging in meaningful conversations with faculty and peers.
Peer Leadership at Weber is built on the belief that students thrive when they support one another. Peer Leaders are chosen for their kindness, leadership, and passion for helping others, and they play a vital role in ensuring every new student feels welcomed from day one.
