"Rambots" Robotics Team's Community Partnership

The Weber-DZA "Rambots" Robotics Team visited The Davis Academy middle school students as part of an outreach initiative to cultivate partnerships and foster a love for robotics, design, and friendly competition. This inaugural visit aimed to introduce students to the world of robotics, showcasing Wallace, the Rambots’ robot from the fall competition. The team provided an overview of the robot's creation process, from brainstorming and design to building and coding. They also offered students the unique opportunity to drive and operate Wallace, which was met with great enthusiasm. Future visits will further explore the robotics design process, with the Rambots guiding The Davis Academy students through various student-designed challenges to provide hands-on experience and insight into the intricacies of mechanics, problem solving, programming, electronics, and teamwork.

This year's team members, guided by Computer Science and DZA teacher Cathey Chapman, include Blake Cohen, Drew Kaufman, Noah Leavitt, Hannah Mandel, and Delaney Somer, with support from Sidney Parker.
